This was my individual senior thesis short film at Ball State University. I animated a nearly 2min mixed media short film following the journey of a young artist frustrated with her skills. This is a tale to help others embrace that "failure" can be just as beneficial to growth as success. And what we may see as a "failure" at the time may simply be us working within the skills we currently have. With enough practice, those skills will only continue to blossom. 🌻

While this story is told through the lens of an artist, this lesson is just as applicable to other skill sets in the world. We are often our own worst critics, and sometimes it can be hard to see our own growth when we constantly compare ourselves to others, or to our inner visions of instant perfection.
